A Crochet Tulle Tutu

I made this crochet and tulle tutu
for my niece Isabella for Christmas

It can be adjusted by the buttons on the back for size
which also match the colour scheme I chose.

Body Parts

These don't look like much
In fact they look weird
Especially the "log" (read: poop)
But they are body parts
For a crochet animal

This particular toy animal
is headed off to
New Zealand in a couple of weeks

Baby Hexagon Cardigan

This is a super easy baby cardigan
that can easily be adjusted to size
by making each granny hexagon bigger.

I included ribbed cuffs and band around the bottom
and cute little white buttons

WIP Ripple Blanket

I have finally decided to
crochet myself a blanket.
I have tried many times before but
always lost interest and have
never finished one.
This time, I am really excited about it.
It's coming together pretty fast
and my sister is constantly encouraging
me to keep going with it.

So far it's ten rows of red
and in the picture above
eight rows of orange.
I'm doing 10 rows of each colour of the rainbow
as I like the look of chunkier
blocks of colour.

And this blanket is really wide, like wider than I had planned it to be.
It fits over a queen size bed and hangs down the sides.
I will measure it eventually, but it's wider than I am long.

and have sent it to my friend.

Still waiting for her to receive it.
Sometimes the post is fast, and sometimes it's slow

Chunky Newborn Beanies

On the 18th Of April
at 11.30pm
My niece Scarlett Jo was born.

As she was only a tiny 5 pound 10 ounces or 2.5kg
it was hard to find beanies that fit her
and that were also warm.

So I made her some to keep her little head nice and warm

WIP Wednesday

I'm back!
Been crazy busy since I returned from my
Melbourne to Perth to Kuala Lumpur to Perth to Melbourne trip.
That's 4 flights in as many weeks.

I've learnt the Basket Weave stitch for this project.
It's something I have been wanting to learn for quite some time
but I never had a project that I could use it for.

A first birthday bear

I made this bear for my niece's first birthday in 2012
And a whole year later, it's still sitting on her bed, a little less white
than it was originally though.

Rosette Hair Clip

How to Make a Rosette Hair Clip

You will need:
* hot glue gun
*scissors
*felt - I only had white
*crochet 2 rosette's
*crochet 3 leaves
*alligator hair clip or pin (not pictured)

The pattern I used for the leaves is from EASY Makes Me Happy's tutorial
and the rosette pattern is from Moogly.
I used a 4mm/G/6 hook for rosettes and leaves.

Cut out a circle from your felt and glue the leaves and rosettes on.
Make sure the felt circle is small enough so you can't see it.

Glue on an alligator clip, allow to dry and your done!
